Mello Music Group...It's more than music

Mello Music Group (MMG) is a record label that is loaded with talent. Check out the roster for Mello Music Group HERE.

Some labels only push one to two artists at a time while the other artists play the background and wait for their turn (Think Roc Nation haha). The thing that separates MMG from other labels is that the label provides the spotlight for every artist. The promotional and marketing prowess of Michael Tolle remains the same regardless of the release. The label is fan friendly and offers giveaways and contests to keep the masses enthralled. I appreciate the music that I have heard from the label. Apollo Brown and Oddisee are two of my favorite beatmakers (Diamond District, The Left and Apollo's project with Boog Brown were in my top ten last year) while Kenn Starr, Oddisee, Finale, Has-Lo (check out In Case I Don't Make It) and Trek Life continue to motivate me with their lyricism.

Trek Life is a West Coast veteran with an uncanny ear for beats. Trek Life is also an accomplished wordsmith. I have been following Sareem Poems since his LA Symphony days and it is great that he is signed to one of my favorite labels. I am really excited to hear Makin' Dollas which serves as the debut project for DTMD (Dunc and Toine) on August 28th. DTMD presented the ultra-dope EP The Basics back in 2010. I have also been blessed to hear the talents of Stik Figa, Tranqill, Boog Brown, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Declaime and more.

In conclusion, I would like to state that MMG is a label that is for the fans. The label provides a diverse collection of artists and the label promotes every artist well. To generate interest for future releases, the label has presented past albums for free every Friday during the Summer (Free Friday Summer Giveaways). This week's Free Friday giveaway comes from Sareem Poems Black & Read All Over (Click to Download the album).
