Lack of Inspiration = NO New Material

Lately I have struggled with the simple process of writing and I cringe while opportunities float away. I have discovered that I am very over-analytical in terms of the material that I listen to. Instead of focusing on the lyricism, the beats, or the overall mood of an album I tend to focus on rhyme schemes, delivery, and metaphors. The previous over-analytical mindset has caused this emcee to not pick up the pen. My mindset has shifted from "doing it for the love" to "doing it to appease the fans". When I first started out I had the urge or the hungry to express my thoughts, dreams, life, and more. Nowadays I do not have the urge to express nothing. Well I will try to write some newness soon, until then I will enjoy my little hiatus.

INSPIRATION QUOTES

"Beethoven, Wagner, Bach, and Mozart settled down day after day to the job in hand. They didn't waste time waiting for inspiration." - Ernest Newman

"Inspiration exists, but it has to find us working." - Pablo Picasso

"The only thing I do is just pray for inspiration, for a way of thinking, because I don't have any particular goal in sight." - Mike Tyson

"I get my inspiration from everyone when I need it and how I need it." - Picabo Street

"I know that the nice shines I have on is going to pass. The nice cars will pass. All that will stay is the music and the work. That's where I get the inspiration to help people out and work." - Wyclef Jean
