So it's finally here. I present to you "The Push Back" Mixtape. A collection of older, unreleased, and collaborative material put together to make one BANGIN' mixtape. I took a long time arranging and picking out tracks and didn't just throw this together because I wanted the listener to get a unique feel to what's to come on "The Revalation Will Be Televised" Mixtape droppin' late summer/early fall. The Push Back Mixtape features my crew EMS (M-Dot, Mayhem), also artists like Grime Tha MC (of The Camp), XL (of the Kreators), my other crew the Mic Murderers, and more....Beats from Kenshin & DJ Jean Maron (who's worked with Termanology, Reks, Akrobatik, etc.), just to name a couple. Here is the precursor to my next mixtape so I hope you enjoy and if you love real Hip-Hop, be on the look out for the Free Album Revalation & Catalyst - Killa Tape 09 coming July 4th, 2009!!! 16 year old phenom drops out of high school...

16 year old baseball phenom Bryce Harper will drop out of high school (and complete his GED) and enroll into a community college with the hopes of being selected by a Major League team in the 2010 or 2011 MLB Draft. Ron Harper (Bryce's father) understands that critics will question the decision but he stated that Bryce initiated the decision. The decision can be viewed as a calculated risk. Bryce can either live up to the predictions or he can level out. A 16 year old hitting the ball 500 feet and throwing a 96 mph fastball is crazy. Bryce has been dubbed the baseball version of Lebron James and he has graced the cover of Sports Illustrated. This news may be disturbing to some but if Bryce lives up to his billing then he could become the face of baseball and restore a shattered past time.

Has technology caused rappers to be lazy...

Remember back in the days when Big L or Canibus would spew endless rhymes on the radio station that made them seem like drones or programmed robots? Well nowadays it seems as if rappers are not prepared to showcase their talents when they are given the chance to shine. Rappers nowadays seem to turn to technology (most notably cell phones) to assist them in delivering a verse. That is like an actor relying on a teleprompter during an entire movie (which would tarnish the effectiveness of the script). In my opinion that is the definition of laziness, I would rather an emcee spit an old verse than fumble through a new verse utilizing a cell phone. I understand the notion or the idea of delivering a new verse to the masses but it seems as if memorization has become a lost art. Which leads to the centralized theme of this post, has technology caused rappers to become lazy?
